LARISSA HARSTON KANNAS
Studio Owner and Manager
Larissa began her love for music at the age of two, wielding her hairbrush microphone, standing on the coffee table belting songs while watching Barbara Mandrell! She continued learning and loving music throughout her youth, earning many awards, including vocal honors in IMEA and female vocalist of the year in ICMA. Larissa began performing professionally at the age of 18, singing lead and harmony, playing fiddle and piano. She attended Illinois Central College performing in many choirs, including the exclusive accapella Vocal Jazz Ensemble where she was a featured soloist. While at ICC studying vocal and piano performance, she received a certification in Piano Teaching. Larissa began teaching music lessons in February of 2000 and has enjoyed many years of sharing her joy and passion for music with others! Larissa has also been involved in many theater productions, starring in lead roles, supporting roles, and directing music, and directing A Broadway Musical Review!
Larissa is married with six beautiful children.
